About Me
Last year (2010) I lost 75 pounds! How did I do it you ask? “The old-fashioned way.” I exercised and ate right, including counting calories and learning portion control. I started reading healthy living blogs and it really helped me during my journey to feel like it’s “normal” to eat healthy food and workout. Reading blogs sort of gives the reader a glimpse into the blogger’s life which can cause one to feel like they “know” the person or are “friends” with the person. While this obviously isn’t true, it was enough to trick my mind into thinking that my “friends” engage in healthy behaviors. And plenty of studies have shown that our friends’ and family’s habits have a big impact on our habits.
Since reading blogs was so helpful to me, I thought I’d start one. I started it not only as a creative outlet, but also in the hopes that some folks might be helped by reading mine!
As for a little “about me”:
-I have a dog I’m crazy about
-I’m a dog trainer in real life
-I have a Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis
-I love to cook, Zumba, run, take pictures, read, and LEARN
-I recently became a Shaklee distributor after falling in love with the products
-A clean house brings me peace
-I’ve recently developed a love for weight lifting
-I love to teach people and help them achieve their goals
Thanks for stopping by my corner of the blog world!
